A couple months ago my vroom vroom thing was broken, so I took to using a
broom to sweep up the kids room. Never in a million years did I think
there was any danger in that while the kids were out....I was about to be
proven wrong. My youngest, big albino Albi came running into the room
when I was in mid sweep trying to chase the broom and ran head first into
the plastic part of the broom. He dropped to the floor with his head
cocked, eyes closed, doing a muttering kind of dooking noise. I thought
I was going to have a heart attack right there on the spot. I picked him
up and he shook it off about 30 seconds later but I gotta tell ya, that
was a mighty terrifying 30 seconds. I was so afraid his neck was broken.
For 30 seconds I relived Cotton's accident and was dying inside at the
thought I may lose another to a household accident. He came around and
I put him on bed rest with soft kibble for the next couple of days. He
wanted to be out and about but I insisted on keeping him quiet. He seems
no worse for th e wear...but I've sprouted several more gray hairs.
