A while ago, I asked about a reference on the FML -- A Tao Full of Detours.
A few people were kind enough to inform me that they are ONLY available via
                www.ferretware.com.

My copy just came on thursday (along with 2 lovely necklaces - 1 for me &
1 for a friend's birthday, a really cute ferret puppet for my brother's
b-day, cheweasels for the kid, a print & t-shirt titled "you can never have
too many ferrets" that I think every multi ferret household should have ...
If you haven't been there, go take a look, they have the most original
stuff and the service was terrific!!).

Anyways, I finished reading it last night, and it was amazing! It's on the
behaviour of ferrets, with a lot of references to backup the research, the
author was totally clear on what was her own observations and what was from
references, and the experiments she did ... I was laughing throughout the
whole book. While it isn't informative on care of ferrets, it did give a
lot of information about why ferrets are the way they are, along with some
unsolved mysteries.

For example, with regard to the few posts these couple of days about
ferrets that attacked unprovoked, Fara Shimbo (author) observed that it is
usually 3 reasons, the person attacked smoked, use perfume, or deorderant
that the ferret didn't like.

Well, just wanted to rave about it. Showed it to my vet on friday (she has
heard of Fara Shimbo - who is this lady? is she going to write more stuff
like that? Is there more books/papers like that? is the FURO ministry
still around?) and she's planning to get a copy as well.

Get a copy & have fun reading!
