With 53 ferrets surveyed so far the Big Ferret Fact Finder has yet to
ferret out an unfriendly fuzzy! Though the furophobic public perceives
ferrets to be fierce and unpredictable pets; our instincts and
experience as ferret owners tell us fewer ferrets bite with any
verocity than cats or dogs. Well so far the results on biting collected
at the Big Ferret Fact Finder ( http://ferretfactfinder.blogspot.com/)
are certainly suggesting the public is misinformed. Only 8% of ferrets
living with caregivers reporting on their temperament are reported to
be known to bite beyond good natured playing and then only when
frightened or irritated. So far the pitferts who take you by surprise
for no reason have yet to stand up and be counted. Instead 57% of
ferrets surveyed NEVER bite and the remaining 36% only bite playfully.

That's today's Big Ferret Factoid. More results to other ferret
inquiries can be viewed at http://ferretfactfinder.blogspot.com/. Keep
those surveys coming in and we don't mind hearing about the pitferts if
they are indeed out there somewhere!
