Hi all! First of all, I'd like to thank Dr. Williams for the advice on
ferret feeding, I do, however, have another question or two about food. My
vet is now advising me to buy ferret food specifically, but I've heard that
ferrets don't seem to like the ferret food as well as kitten/cat food and
that it is overpriced. Cost doesn't concern me when it comes to my
fuzzies' health. Should I now switch to the ferret food? Also, when it
comes to treats, what are the best. My babies love raisins but aren't at
all crazy about raw potatoes. Sophie seems to like raw broccoli and
carrots -- are they difficult for a ferret to digest? Also, I've seen
these freeze-dried beef liver treats for cats in the pet store, would they
be too high in protein for the kids? If not, how many can I give them,
that is, of course if they like them. Thanks for any advice, I could
surely use it! Does anyone know about ferrets in Australia? I have an
offer to go to Melbourne for a year, but I won't go anywhere if I have to
leave Sophie and Marty. Are ferrets legal in Australia? Is there a
quarantine? I'd also like say that my heart goes out to all of you who
have lost your ferrets. I can truly empathize with you. My heart would be
so broken if I lost Sophie or Marty--they are my truest friends. I'm so
grateful to have such wonderful creatures in my life. My thoughts are with
you.

Stephanie, Sophie, and Marty
