Just to clarify so no one gets the wrong impression of what I meant.
I did not mean to imply that they are two different degrees. DVM and
VMD are the same degree. However, Univ of Penn gives the VMD title
exclusively. If he had a veterinary degree from Penn it would not read
DVM. Penn graduates would not put DVM after their names as it is not
the way their degree reads. I am sure someone would have figured that
out eventually.
