I have to chime in and say I think Wolfy has the right idea about
the Mountain Dew ad. I saw it as a parody of Rudy Giuliani and the
California Fish & Game Department and all the other alarmists who
scream ferrets are such dangerous animals. I think the ad was making
fun of them. Of course, ferrets don't run around wearing hockey masks
and wielding chain saws, and I don't think anyone with a lick of sense
would actually believe they do. That is the whole point. It reminds
a lot of all the fuss made over Jonathan Swift's essay, "A Modest
Proposal". If you're not familiar with it, you can find information

Satire isn't meant to taken literally. Just had to add my 2 cents
worth.
