Are you sure it's a bruise?  We've noticed that all of our MF ferts have
what appear to be tattoos on their back right foot between their toes.  I
haven't looked lately, but I think that in some cases the tattoo location
differed slightly.  Could it be some kind of 'hidden' identifier that MF
uses to prevent copy-cat tattooers, or a method of marking certain lines or
ages (i.e. different toe tattooed every 6 mos or something similar), or am I
just crazy?  Our vet noticed this on one and proceeded to find the mark on
the other two we had with us.
