Hello to all, newcomers and vets of the FML.

Regarding sleeping ferrets:

My Janice used to roll herself up in a donut and sleep _under_ my pillow.
I always worried about squishing her, but she never got squished. I just
sort of trained myself to sleep on one side of the pillow. She was my
bestest ferret for hitting the litterbox and not being destruct-o-ferret,
so she got to be outside the cage a lot.

I have a question or three! A man I've been seeing for the past two years,
whom I was also very close to in high school (almost 10 yrs ago, can u
believe it!!!), is stationed at Osan AFB in Korea for the next 33 weeks.
He says he thinks ferrets are illegal there. Are they? I wonder if they
would be eaten like dogs are, sometimes over there. (eeew. sorry for
gross, guys, but the Koreans think it's a delicacy -- dog, not ferret) I
dunno. Does anyone know of any ferrets in Korea or even any asian ferrets?
I was just curious.

Also, how would I go about getting a ferret if I lived in the UK? Do they
sell them in pet stores? Are there breeders? It seems that Caleb's next
assignment will probably be to the UK for 2 yrs, and I _might_ be joining
him there by then. At least, he dropped a hint to that effect last time
we spoke. Of course, with the delay over the phone, he might have been
insulting me and I just caught the last part of it that sounded like, "I
might arrange for you to come and join me." It could have really been "It's
strange for you to be so pointy." You never know. Hee hee hee! Oh yeah,
what if you are LEAVING the UK with pets? I know they quarantine pets
going into the UK for 6 months or something, but what about leaving and
going back to the US. Long quarantine periods would be unacceptable for
my animals. I would just have to be petless. :)

anyway, have a fun and ferrety holiday!
