When a ferret is exposed to adv... he may or may not eventually develop the
full spectrum of symptoms of ad. The ferret my have no obvious symptoms
and lead a relativley full life (but will still be contagious to others).
Other ferrets will develop AD and symptoms (and be contagious as well
obviously). The hard part about adv...is you ferret could have been
exposed to the virus and be carrying it (making them contagious) but you
may not have a clue they have it til later if and when sypmtoms do surface.
