The Victoria SPCA had a ferret for adoption yesterday. No idea where it
came from but the ferret is very young and healthy. Our friends went to
take a look at him yesterday to make sure it was a ferret and not a mink,
and to check on his status.

He is no longer at the spca, but spent the night here. There was the usual
scrap to start out with. Timster has a bloody ear - well ....maybe 2 -3
drops worth, and the new one is missing some fur on his neck. The new one
spent the night upstairs while the rest were 'locked down'. He was on the
bed, off the bed, in the closet, in the tub, on the bed off the bed, under
the bed, in the dresser under the dresser. He played at 0330 hours, 0500
hrs and at 0600 hrs. He rattled drawers, horded toys and was found this
morning sleeping in Timmy's bed.

This morning Timmy was allowed upstairs. He checked out everyspot where the
new one had been. He found the new one, looked at him, then crawled into
his bed and curled up. No more fighting..........so far......... the girls
took little notice of the new one......which is good.

We don't have a name yet.......but will be working on that issue shortly.

Its raining outside right now......but its clearly sunny inside.

I would like to thank members of this mailing list for their kind words and
thoughts for us over the loss of Arnold. It was pretty tough for those few
days, but time has a way of healing. Sharron has always glanced though the
local paper looking for ferrets needing homes, but they seldom ever appear.
Odd how one showed up this week......
