I know that some of you think I am an utter sap, and maybe a victim. But
really, I am so much more the opposite. After the kind E-mails sent,
let me just say that I would not have taken Amanda's ferret without the
following-which would have been something any loving ferret person on
this list would accept.

By the way-if anyone is coming from Canada to Chicago in the next 3
months-and Amanda changes her mind still again? I am more than happy to
take Monty if allowed provided that:

1. I received a note from the doctor stating that Amanda did have Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome. The doc could just fax that over to my office with
Amanda's' written permission. This is one of the key reasons I would take
Monty. If this were not true-obviously I would be dealing with a player.

2. I would need the ADV testing done with negative results, and to see
the vet papers showing Monty had a physical with the completed series of
distemper and rabies shots, and written up that Monty has no fleas or
mites. We all know how important this is.

3. I would need to have Monty in the next 3 months. A violent S. O. and
child hurting a ferret easily forms a biter. I already have 2 rescues
that bite. One of them can be cruel to the other ferrets, and so requires
strict supervision. I have no time for another biter.

4. The longer Monty lives without other ferrets-the less chance he will
get along with any other ferrets. Who needs that if they have a group
of ferrets? I KNOW that at this time of my life-I would not want an
unsociable ferret. So I would not consider Monty after 3 months from now
if Amanda changed her mind yet again and thought of my offer.

See? Now some of you are probably thinking that maybe I am too strict in
my requirements. I am not.

I promise you that I do have limits in my life. We all should. They are
different for all of us, and alter with our life.

Gotta go.
Really not a sucker: I promise.
Lisette
