I had written some time ago about Byte-me and Kodo not bonding now that
Nibble-ed is gone. Byte-me still grieves over Nib, is obvious where she
will not go to her old haunts where those two would hide and sleep. Is
not "off limits" to them I guess.

Yesterday I watched Byte-me trying to get into the same hammy with Kodo
and she very gently nuzzled Kodo who was already in the hammy but Kodo
rejected the 'offer' so Byte-me went off to sleep in a tube. She keeps
trying and Kodo keeps rejecting.

Yet later on I found them both up inside the recliner where they found a
comfy spot inside the foot rest. This was a good sign. When I went to
bed I was resting a bit when I felt Byte-me come to visit. She usually
sleeps under the covers with me, and just then Kodo came by also. They
both got between my legs and went to sleep under the bed spread. Another
good sign.

Then this morning I found them both curled up together in the same hammy!
Ha! They have 'found' each other finally!

Has been almost a year since Nib crossed the bridge. Byte-me and Nib
were my only two for a long time then I got 6 rescues in one year. This
didn't break up that relationship but they were always together and the
group kind of followed them around. When Nib died all but one rescue was
gone (3 were in permenant homes and 3 had crossed the bridge). This left
Kodo (rescue) and Byte-me (first ferret and Marshal Farms store bought).
Time heals many wounds so I think time has worked its magic on Byte-me
and Kodo. They are both over 5 with Kodo approaching 6 so I think old
age has also helped some.

This is good. Glad to see them finally teaming up.
