I have two cats that play with my 8 ferrets. Believe me the cats are the
losers in most of the "battles". One poor cat is daily harrased with
a ferret hanging off of her. The other cat attacks them too and they
wrestle. The cats claws are retractable and she swats with them in, in a
playful mood. I also clip everyones nails weekly or as needed. I usually
don't do the cats rear legs. So my long, drawn out answer is....No, don't
declaw!

p.s. all animals have their own likes/dislikes-it is important to monitor
their reactions to each other before leaving them unattended.
