Hi Fellow Ferret Lovers: Just a quick note to thank everyone who kindly
responded to my question about integrating Sasha (the baby) and Katy, our
three year old princess. We are happy to report that while there is still
lots of "chittering" going on, they are also spending a little more time not
"fighting". It doesn't appear to us that they are actually fighting as Sasha
seems to be nudging her and "body plowing" more than anything, but we've
heard Katy "chitter" even when he is simply beside her. The appear to be
nipping at one another, however, we have not observed any holding. Kids!
(This is the first time we have owned two ferrets so their behaviour is new
to us and we are watching very closely).

Regarding cleaning ferret cages and litter boxes: I have used vinegar
diluted in warm water to clean "misses and messes", followed by a thorough
drying with a clean cloth. Is vinegar safe for this purpose?

Regarding cats and ferrets: my two female cats do not bother with the
ferrets and I have no worries about the ferrets and these cats being left
alone, however, my daughter's male cats *cannot* be trusted with either of
the ferrets and we keep them apart from each other!

Sincerely,
Jean and her sweetheart ferret Katy,
Sasha (I'm such a baby)
Baxter (oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, another playmate)
Tiffany (keep him away from my ears......)
Teca (one look from me and he keeps away)
Harley, Ditch and Nemesis (daughter's cats who come to visit often)
