I have been on this list for just under a year and Debbie Kemmerer's (DVM )
comment about this (FML 2196) had me curious as well.  Granted, many (most?)
of the ferrets sold in the US are descented before sale, but I can't recall
reading about even one case of anal sac cancer (anal sac adenocarcinoma).
Impacted glands, yes.  Infected glands yes.
 
Maybe I missed it, I do skim sometimes.  There are plenty of folks on this
list with 'scented' ferrets.  Is there anyone on this list who has had a
ferret diagnosed with anal sac cancer?
