A walk in a shelter-mom's shoes (even if she ain't wearin' 'em :)

Here is an old woman who lives without shoes!
She has SO many critters, she doesn't know what to do
so gives them all their kibbles, or cheese or crusts of bread
and then will give them 40 snacks and tuck them all to bed.
So ferret-snores and kitty-purrs and doggy-sleepy-grumbles;
Out of bed old woman goes in midnight-feeding stumbles.
She cannot rest until each tiny furry belly's filled
and every critter of each kind's comf'tably-sleepy-stilled.
(whups just ONE more mess we gotta clean
then maybe get some rest, that's keen...
 
(clean up the POOP-ies,
clean up the POOP-ies,
Clean UP the Poop-IES,
and then we'll go to bed.
Been scoopin' poopies all day long
(it seems like) just to make this song
we'll clean UP the poop-IES
and THEN we'll go to bed!)
 
((come over, and it's YOUR turn,
come over, and it's YOUR turn!,
come on OV-er, your turn
to scoop the poopies next!
I've scooped enuf, I wanna play
and bounce with ferrets all the day
so come you on OVER
and YOU can scoop 'em up! ))
