Now, I know that's not right...*most* of it never leaves the fert, it gets
"spent" in energy.  How much waste varies according to the food type; try
giving your guys cheap just Purina for a couple of days, you'll see the poop
quantity skyrocket.  So will the intake; they need to eat way more of the
crud just to get close to the nutrition.
 
How efficient is a fertgut, anyhow?
