Last night on the 10:00 news, WLVI (the WB station) in Boston ran a nice
piece on ferrets in MA. The "banner" for the piece was "Banned in MA".
They talked about how cute and curious they are, how they've been domestic
since the time of the Egyptians. They filmed some footage at the shelter
in Marlboro, NH - talking about how a lot of the ferrets there are refugees
from MA. The woman who runs the shelter got to say a few words - how they
are trying to find good homes for the ferrets, how they are the "pet of the
90's". They did say that ferrets are good companions - and stressed
"companions", noting that they do need attention and play time.

I thought it was pretty well done (too short! :^) ), and nice to see. I
only happened on it because earlier in the evening (in the news promo), they
mentioned doing a segment on ferrets.

The closing shot was of a ferret licking a forearm...they pulled back and it
was the reporter holding the ferret, who was happily licking away...I
couldn't help but think Mmmm...ferretone! :^)
