Okay so I am just full of great ideas today. But this is a really good one.
When I was moving and going through what I wanted to keep and get rid of, I
came across a big box of all my human babies old receiving blankets. I had
boxed them up to give away to goodwill. Anyone who has had kids knows how
these blankies accumulate and pile up. They give you at least ten of them
at the hospital. And they aren't really big enough to make a good blankie
for an older child. But they are perfect for fuzzy babies! Ever since we
adopted Shandy, our pair now decides to nap on the floor together rather
than fight over the hammock. So they needed a good substitute from old
towels. Now I have enough fresh blankies to change them out everyday. They
are soft and just perfect for fuzzies to cuddle up in. So mom's with older
babies, dont throw out your receiving blankies! Give them to your local
shelter if you have to, but they can still be used. Now if I could just
figure out what to do with all the cloth diapers I never used! :-)
