HI friends !

Gravy Ferret Wise had a big day today--

BUT he is not celebrating- not yet!

Thanks for the good wishes sent by shelter friends- please keep them
coming until he is eating on his own. We managed to get squeaked into
the vets this AM- Gravy has not been his self for 3-4 days - he was
held over upon palpation for surgery-

Gravy will be on antibiotics as soon as I can settle his gut down - we
are successful in droppering a small amount of water to him now- due to
the incision in the gut wall- he will not be eating for a bit!

Removed were his pendulous spleen a HUGE left adrenal and 2 hairballs
from his tummy-- The poor kiddo likely arrived with the hairballs a year
ago- but we were just hoping to keep him alive!

Poor boy is MISERABLE!

I will be up round the clock with him for a few days! He has taken
small amounts of fluids and has been giving pain meds to keep him sedate
initially. His lodging is atop what is supposed to be a dining room
table where I can easily get to him throughout the night!

hugs
shelter Mom

PS- we certainly appreciate those who are shopping our ebay auctions- it
will help pay Gravy's bil!
