Skeeter...please make Mercedes feel welcome...he crossed the bridge this
morning...7/28/99... Mercedes is not one of mine...he was rescued by a
friend of mine...william... Mercedes was his first ever ferret and he had
him for only 3 weeks... the ferret put on weight under his care and seemed
much better... then 2 nights ago he noticed him straining to poop...he
called the vet right away and got an appt for this morning...(Wed)...when
he came online this morn i asked him about what the vet said...this was his
response...
 
"well it is not good news..... im very sorry to say the guy did not make it
the vet said he was dying from a cancer..... and nothing realy could have
been done at this late stage.... ive never had a ferret b4 and now i want
to learn as much as i can about them and their care, and in the spring get
2 more of them.... ty very much for you help....
 
im very sad and upset at the loss,even though i did not care for the
critter more than 3 weeks, he stole my heart, ty again... william"
 
so, Skeeter...please make Mercedes feel welcome, and tell him william loved
him very much and misses him....
