Hi all. Yes Denise's Delightful Dookers Ferret Rescue and Shelter is
still alive and well.
We only have 105 ferrets at this time (down from 153) and a HUGE vet
bill of $2,465.00 due to the many ferrets that have/had health issues
and have had surgery, and vet visits. You can send $ to our vet
(Covington Animal Hospital) by calling 253-631-8616 and telling them
it's for File #9277 Denise's Delightful Dookers Ferret Rescue. They
will gladly take your donation and we thank you.
We are having a Blow Out Garage Sale on Saturday, July 11 and August 15
to raise $ for the vet bill. You don't have to be here to donate --just
go to paypal.com and put in [log in to unmask] in the "send money"

We will be getting our new website up shortly that will have the paypal
button on it. Thanks for your patience.
We have been fortunate to get a few more volunteers in that do clean
up at the shelter (or whatever needs to be done----boy are they
appreciated): Thanks, Gerald, Nikki, Rebecca, Dave, Ron, Carolyn,
Jurjen, Lisa F, Lisa S & Cailiin, Derek & Anna.
We also have behind the scenes volunteers that do soooo many needed
things also: Thanks, Linda (PR-entertainer), Cindy (ferret momma),
Teri (ferret whisperer), Amanda (artist), Carolyn (website), & Gerald
(emails, soup, yard work, etc).
Linda and Teri have a website called "FerretCorner.com" and they make
wonderful bedding, & toys for the ferrets and jewelery for the hoomans
to buy. A percentage of everything that is sold is given to our
shelter....so please, go take a look and buy, buy, buy.
We will be going to Tumwater, WA on July 11th to a Pet and Trade Show
(Linda & Rebecca) and King County Animal Care & Control Pet Adoptathon
in Kent, WA (Denise & Rese) educating people about ferrets. (King
County calls the shelter when ferrets are surrendered there or strays
are found.)
August 9th we will be at the University of Tacoma at WOOFSTOCK (Linda,
Lisa F, Denise) - again doing an educational theme regarding our
wonderful fuzzies.
(To protect our fuzzies and watch the interaction between hooman and/or
ferret - adoptions are only done at the shelter.)
I also want to thank April & Liz at Performance Foods for ALL their
help. Their love for the fuzzies and willingness to help shelters is
such a God-send. Thanks ladies.
