Go to a metal shop and buy ornamental metal sheets; they will have a
range of cut patterns to select among. Paint these to suit your decor
if appropriate (Tell paint specialist what the conditions will be.) and
attach. We used steel wiring to attach back when we needed to and it was
incredibly attractive. It also ended the mouse problem that place had
before then, and posed no fire hazard.
