My almost 6 year old Belle developed the same symptoms about a month ago.
The vet also suspected vaginitis and she was put on Bactrim for 2 weeks.
The ooze went away, the swelling went down to almost normal. But in just
the last day, I noticed it is starting to get slightly swollen again, so we
will head back to the vet.

I hope in both our cases it is just infection, and not signs of adrenal.

The runny stool Tax had is probably a result of the antibiotic. You can try
giving her a little yogurt with live cultures or something with acidopholus
(sp?) to help restore the natural bacteria levels.

Good luck with Taz!
