Good morning all.

I feel like such a heel this morning. Last night during nail trimming,
while I was doing Fezzik's nails, he squirmed and I accidentally cut too
high on the nail and ended up nicking the vein. :( I couldn't believe how
much it bled! I remembered from previous FMLs that some people had written
that they used cornstarch on the wound to stop the bleeding, so I tried
that. It didn't seem to work very well, though. I remember other people
wrote in with other suggestions but I couldn't remember what they were.
Could someone refresh my memory just in case this ever happens again? I
sure hope it doesn't, though...I still feel awful about it.

On a semi-related point, since I use the "Ferretone on the belly" trick to
keep the fuzzies occupied while I trim their nails...does anyone know why
some ferrets tremble while they're enjoying treats? My daughter asked
about it last night and I didn't know the answer.

Dooks,
