Hi all,I know someone had posted this question Before but we couldn't
remember the list number or the date.

First off,Lady Gretta was scratching up a storm,we bathed her, then in our
Normal routine of Care we found sores in her ears,we cleaned them out, then
contacted the vets,he advised us to wash them out with peroxide and coat
the sores with vasaline to keep her skin soft and pliable. We did this as
well,a couple of days later we took her into see him because she wasn't
eating,or playing as well. The vet said that the infection had gotten into
her system, and an antibiotical shot was given, and we got animalax for her
ears,as well as amoxicillian.

She has been on Both now for 10 days!

We have of course been feeding her duck soup twice daily. She's eating 2-3
tablespoons of duck soup, but we haVE TO FORCE FEED this Every time! Now
we've noticed she is also Grinding her teethe!

Does anyone no why a ferret does this,we vaguely remmebered someone else
had this problem and that Grinding teethe were a symptom of more serious
problems! Lady Gretta is still scratching quite a bit,we thought it might
be a serious flee problem, but we've bathed her and treated all 10 ferrets
for a flee infestation, even though we've found None!

We've also found what looks like small red patches on the back of Lady
Gretta's neck, but not where the vet gave her the shot!

It is a spot she has been scratching a lot,it looks like the patches a
person would get when they get the hives as from a reaction to something
eaten,ro used on them.

We have tried a new flee spray about 3 wks ago,and when the Babies
continued scratching and bitting, and Lady Gretta showed the first signes of
Illness we Discontinued Using it!

We are Getting Desperate here!

Does anyone have anyother thoughts on this. The vet doesn't think she has
ear mites because her ears are Perfect now,as are the ears of our Other 9!
Also she has no other symptoms, but our vets Locally are Not very Ferret
Knowledgeable! Gretta is 3.5 yrs. old!
