Hello Again

I got the news about Loki yesterday. Yes, he does have cancer again.
The problem is where?? The fluid drawn from his stomach showed cancer
cells, but the ultrasound showed no masses. The only thing was a couple
of enlarged organs. The vets and I have decided to use weekly shots of
the drug Interferon which they claim to have done wonderful things in the
dogs and cats they have treated with it. The vet said that it is a
fairly new drug and the effects on ferrets are yet to be determined. But
they did give me some hope.

So far I can't get Loki to eat anything!!!!!!! I have tried the Duck
soup, peanut butter, various canned foods, and nutrical. The only thing
I have been able to get down Him (forcefully) is the nutrical and he will
drink little bits of water. He is so boney that it hurts me to hold
him. He does seem a bit more perky. I just hope he will pull through
for a while anyway. The vet said that he could possibly have another
year added using this drug. I just wish I could get some food down him.
Any suggestions? He never has liked canned food or bannannas.

Dr. Williams have you heard of any results with this Interferon?

Thanks

Marie, Oshi, Loki-mon, and Taz-man

PS Loki still is pretty strong, no dragging of the hind quarters.
