It is with sad and heavy heart that I must tell you that Bubbles passed
away at 10:12 this morning. I ended up taking her to work with me, and
she spent her last hours tucked away in my coat pocket. (one or her
favorite places). I offered water and food several times, but she
refused all. I did manage to get about 1/8 tsp of ensure (generic) down
her.

I want to thank Wes and Susan of the Ferret and Dove sanctuary for their
support. I called them to see what else to do for her, and Wes told me
to go straight to the vet. He felt that she was dehydrated. I headed
that way, but Bubbles passed away while we were on the phone. I was at
a total loss as to what to do, so I took her to Susan and Wes. These
wonderful people opened their door and heart to me. (as they have over
and over again). Susan gave me a wonderful angel to bury along with
Bubbles. They let me cry a little and offered me another ferret. (LOL).
I don't know what I would have done if they hadn't been there with their
quiet love and support. So thank you Susan, and thank you Wes. For
being there, for holding my hand, and for letting my laugh at your silly
babies who happened to be out when I got there.

I know Bubbles is at the bridge. I told her to look for Little Bit and
to have fun while she waits for me to catch up.

Bubbles was with us for a little over a year. She was the lickingest
ferret I've ever had. She kissed everyone, all the time. She loved
dancing and dooking but most of all she loved going for rides. My pocket
was the best place. She would sit there and put her front paws on the
edge of my pocket. She would stay put for as long as I let her stay
there. She also liked to "drive" the Jeep. She was in her glory sitting
up on my lap with her front feet on the steering wheel of my Jeep,
helping me drive. Or sitting on the dashboard "helping" me. As late as
last night she was still trying to dook and dance, her body just wouldn't
cooperate.

She will be missed.
