Hi you guys, just quickly

The operation went well! (big smile of relief) Salma s here next to me
sleeping, such huge cut poor baby, I hate that pain expression on her
face (I remember it from her last OP)

So the news: her Adrenal glands are BOTH normal (!!!),
But: there WAS a tumor!

I went in and took a look (while Salma was open) and the cyst was pretty
big, like the size of an olive and a bit darker in color. I had it sent
to the lab to see what it was exactly, hopefully nothing too evil that
might have left tine cells around so it can come back later

The cyst/tumor was located on the right side RIGHT where Salma s right
ovary used to be! Maybe tiny piece of the right ovary was left from her
neutering and the cells there reproduced and grew back all messed up?

The doctor was also quite surprised cause we were expecting adrenal, but
he double checked and the glands are really ok so he left them both in
place, and he s optimistic that once Salma s recovered from the OP she
should resume with a healthy normal life (I hope and pray he s right!!!)

He said he s seen tumors in that area which could also be producing the
hormones which were probably causing the hair loss.

Anybody with a similar experience???!!! (I guess I ll always worry if
it ll grow back or pop up somewhere else so scary!)

I m keeping an eye on her, Monday I ll take her for a check up so I ll
write more if anything comes up (and once I know the results from the
biopsy). I thank you guys from all the help and info, especially those
who encouraged me to go ahead with the surgery cause who knows how fast
this thing could ve grown inside poor Salma!

I am SO relieved that so far everything went ok and that the growth could
be removed!!!

I really pray that she (and the others) now remain healthy for many years

Ah and by the way, he said her nipples are NOT enlarges like I thought,
it s just that I d been spoiling her even more after the hair started to
fall that she even gained weight from so much meat, so the nipples are
obviously bigger than say, Leeloo s cause Leeloo is HALF the weight and
size of Salma!

Anyway, back to watching over Salma make sure she s confortable and warm.
(you guys should see how delicate and sweet Logan and Leeloo are around
her, they KNOW she s in pain and kiss her and move slowly laying next to
her I love these 3 sweeties!)

Big hug and dooks (of relief)

Chris, Logan, Leeloo and Salma (it hurts mommy...)
