Hi all,

I'm one of the quiet lurkers that has been here for a few years now but
rarely posts. Our Phoebe, a dimutive 1.2 lb 4 yr old bundle of energy, has
developed the classic symptoms of an adrenal tumor. The reason for this
post is that I was a bit shocked when I was quoted a price for the
diognostics and surgery of $450 to $950 and this is from the Vet that we've
gone to for 10 years or more. We're located in suburban "Upstate New York"
so I know things are a bit pricey compared to some of the more rual areas
but this does seem excessive. Since this is a common ailment I'm curious
about what costs others have incurred in treating this condition. We are,
of course, checking around to see what others charge and at this point I'm
leaning towards taking her to Cornell and will be talking to them today.
Any information from others on their experiences would be sincerely
appreciated.
