In the news here in the UK over the last few weeks there has been a
running item about a 4 year old girl who failed to return from an access
visit to her father and how the two disappeared abroad. Much mention
was made of her pet ferret and how it was thought to be with her.

Today they were found in Portugal (according to reports) but no mention
was made of the ferret, I fear that the poor creature will end up
suffering for the foolishness of its owners and either be abandoned or
put to sleep, as ferrets are NOT included in the pet passport scheme and
would face quarantine if it was returned to the UK.

Is there anyonwe in Portugal who can look into this situation and "look
out" for this creature so that it doesnt have to pay a high price for
having unthinking owners?
