Hello all!

At the risk of sounding horrible ignorant, is it possible for ferrets to
have hay fever/allergies? (I know mine are raging right now!)

As of late, Paleface has been making little, singular, cough-like noises.
When he plays harder, he sounds lung-congested/gurgly/wheezy. I am
concerned lest he develop pneumonia or bronchitis or some other dreadful
problem.

Any suggestions as to what this problem might be? Any recommendations for
treatment that I should discuss with the vet? (She's a very nice vet, but
she is unfortunately "learning.")

BTW, Paleface is a "mature" fuzzie, 5 years old in October.

My thanks,

Gina
and
Paleface, the confirmed bachelor
