Hello FML,

It's been a very rough last few weeks. First my little boy, Tango passed
away, then my remaining four had to get treated for fleas, Spunky has
been battling her insulimona and now i've discovered that my little girl
Roo (RooBear) has a small scab-like looking cyst or bump on her side.
Wondering if this could be some kind of tumor? It was approx. the size
of a small round eraser from a pencil and had started to bleed once the
scab fell off. Any ideas suggestions until I get her to the vet this
week?

Also, I recently noticed that my 7 year old girl, Leah, has a
somewhat hard stomach. I took her to the vet last night, but my
ferret-knowledgeable vet wasn't in and had to settle for some guy who
is not very ferret knowledgeable. He said that it felt like she has a
mass in her stomach/spleen area. What do you guys suggest I do next for
a 7 year old little girl? X-Rays, exploratory surgery? I've heard that
enlarged spleens are common in ferrets. I'm just worried about it
growing to her other organs if it is cancerous. I noticed on one
occassion that her breathing was different, but she hasn't done it since
then. She also has become a bit lethargic. Any ideas/suggestions,
please e-mail me directly. I don't have any internet access, so I won't
be able to go to any websites or links , (I can only send and receive
e-mail at this time). Thank you! :-)
