Someone asked about diluting Ferretone. We use olive oil and a 2 to 1 ratio
of olive oil to Ferretone, although the exact ratio is not too important.

Basically, with an 8 oz. bottle of Ferretone, we pour out 2/3 of a cup into
another container (Mason jars work well, or anything else that seals well)
and we put that in the refrigerator. That leaves 1/3 cup in the original
Ferretone bottle. We then fill up that bottle with olive oil.

Even with that we use it sparingly - maybe a teaspoon (one pump if you have
the pump bottle) a day- for rewards or for clipping nails. Always in our
hand or, for nail clipping, on their tummy; never on the food. Ours seem to
prefer the diluted form.
