A big hug to June and Louis over the loss of Humphrey. I met Humphrey when
he was brought to an association meeting because he did not have a home.
It was the first time I had seen a ferret that had so little hair and I
felt like crying. Humphrey needed lots of care and was bounced around to
several different care-takers/members before June met him and fell in love
with him.

June has a very big heart for taking him in. At the time, June was also
treating Phoebe for insulinoma and she was helpful to me because about
that time was when Rasta started on prednisone for his insulinoma. June
was then caring for two ferrets that had terminal illnesses - Phoebe and
Humphrey (please do not be offended if I got any of this wrong or the
timing is off). Anyway, June and Louis should feel very proud that they
provided Humphrey a great, loving home during the last year and a half of
his life. He was a sweetheart. My heart goes out to you and I am crying
as I type this message.

A warning about Scoozies - they are dangerous! My ferrets wanted to tear
the one I got apart, so make sure that playtime with this thing is
SUPERVISED. Marley liked it so much that he was running around with it
in his mouth, like a momma ferret would do with a kit. Unfortunately, no
film in camera, but I plan to get some good shots.

Take care~
