I am a new writer and subscriber to the FML. I have been owned by ferrets
for over 12 years, and currently run a state ferret association. I have
been asked many times about how to control fleas. Since I've been an owner,
I've always used flea collars. You must buy kitten or cat collars, and cut
them in half widthwise, so they are half the width. Leave them to air out
for 24 hours, and then apply them. Over the course of 24 hours,
periodically check your ferret's neck to make sure their is no irritation.
For all the years I've used flea collars, I've never had any problems with
snagging, or the collar being chewed. I hope this information is helpful.
