I was just wondering, can ferrets get urinary tract infections? If so, can
anyone tell me some symptoms? One of my little ones, Calvin, seems to be
"squatting" quite a bit more than the others. Every now and then, nothing
comes out, but usually all that comes out is urine (He does still poop, just
not every time he squats). My other two always do "#1 and #2" at the same
time, so that is why Calvin's behavior seems strange.

As a kid, I got UTI's quite often, and I know that it makes you feel like
you have to go all the time. Could that be what is happening to my Calvin?
or does he just have a small bladder?

Other than his frequent squatting, Calvin is acting normally. He has just
blown his winter coat (with a little plucking encouragement from me) and he
does seem a little thinner, but nothing unusual. He is MF, and I estimate
his age to be about 8 months. The three of them eat a mixture of 8 in 1 and
Iams kitten food, with treats of Ferretone and quite a few treats of
Lax'aire (a laxative, since Calvin has been shedding).

If anyone could give me any ideas, I'd sure appreciate it.

     Thanks,
