Hey gang!! We made it!

Enough has been received (counting the two checks promised but not yet
arrived) to cover that $200 I spent to rescue the babies!!!! Thank you all
so very much (you know who you are). You are heroes!!!!

The babies are doing very well (they have excellent teeth too <ouch>), and
mom is fine. She'll go in to be spayed this week. I hated to, but I've
separated her from the kids. They just trample all over her and one of the
boys (much larger than her) was caught nursing! She's tiny enough without
supporting those monsters. She's eating well, and seems to enjoy peace and
quiet in her own space. I'll still let her play with the kids when they're
out for their romp, once she's spayed I am hoping her "motherly instincts"
will subside. She's quite a nipper too, so I'll work with her alot once
she's spayed and the hormones subside. None of these poor kids were ever
handled. I just wish there was a way to get the remaining 3 adults out
there in this awful heat. I am just thankful this hasn't been one of those
record summers here where temps stay 110 to 119 in the afternoon, as we
faced a few years back here.

At least the "hot Texas babies" (and their mom) are now "COOL KIDS".

Thank you all so very much!
