>Anyone know if Boric Acid powder is safe for the ferret immune system?

Well, now, I wouldn't say the "ferret immune system" - I would be worried
about the whole ferret! But maybe I'm nitpicking words...

Anyway, we discussed this one not too long ago - you should be able to
find some discussion in the archives (under "boric acid" and "borax").

What it comes down to is that the jury is out on this one. Some
references say it's safe, some say it's dangerous (for any animal, not
just ferrets). As for me, I would rather side with the "dangerous"
crowd and be wrong than risk my ferrets by mistakenly siding with the
"safe" crowd.

It's pretty safe to assume that NO pesticides are safe for animals.
Natural or man-made, they're designed to kill, after all. True, they're
designed to kill insects, but chemicals aren't all that choosy...
