Hi Lynne,

Rocky, a sable, is also becoming quite silverish in the face, top of head
and back of neck. I am fairly certain this is due to his new winter coat.
The fur is much shorter and a heck of a lot thicker. He looks gorgeous,
what more can I say? ;) I have also noticed a change in his scent
accompanying his new doo. His smell is muskier (more pleasant).

Hope this alleviates your concerns about the winter coloring of sables.

Megan
