I'm new to the F.M.L. and just wanted to say hi to everyone before I jump
in with both feet.

We ( the two humans ) are personally owned by 9 wonderful but mischievous
pets. Two dogs-Bailey and Echo, and 7 funky ferrets-Twister, Jasmine,Zeus,
Apollo, Q, Tigger, and Wolfgang. We lost our eighth furry-our Buddy to
liver cancer in August 1999 and miss him dearly.

I've enjoyed reading the postings and hearing about everyone's fuzzies.
I belong to a ferret association here on the Canadian prairies and can't
begin to thank them enough for all the help and support we've been given.
We run a terrific shelter and work together with both our Humane Society
and a compiled list of what we call ferret-wise Vets, who are very eager
to try and stay on top of medical issues. Presently our shelter has under
5 ferrets up for adoption-down from forty last May.

We are proud to say all seven of our ferrets came from the shelter and
range in age from 8 months to 6 years. I wouldn't trade them for the world
under any circumstances. The rule in our house is that they are our
responsibility from the time they enter our lives till they cross over the
Rainbow Bridge.

To the lady that is stuck in the wonderful winter white stuff, ask hubby to
buy you a snowmobile next Christmas. It may not happen to often but at
least you can go where no car has gone before.
