One short final point. I forgot that not all will know this and take
it into account. The timing involved PREVENTS finding for sure which
indirect sources have been the actual causes in known cases of indirect
exposure to CDV, hence no papers. Remember that there is a much longer
latency period before the disease shows symptoms than there is survival
period of the virus except under frozen conditions, and that clothing
and shoes will be used and cleaned in that time frame. So, what is left
is the knowledge of the experts about which surfaces pose the risk.
