After Floyd's tragic death about 4 month ago, we finally decided to adopt
another ferret. Storm is a 12 week old, very light colored sable girl.
She earned her name the very first day, I have never seen that kind of
energy bursts before. As soon as we took her out of the cage and put her
in the playroom she switched into to high speed mode. Never mind that she
crashed into walls or furniture, Storm just kept on trucking, dooking ,
war dancing and chewing on my hands and feet.

She is such a good little ferret and a very fast learner. If I can just
get her to use the first floor litterbox and not the T-shirt on the second
floor...

I have one question for you guys: Storm's poop is kind of on the loose side
and there is loads of it (and I mean loads). It's not really diarrhea, but
it's not little "sausages" either. The people who had her before us fed
her cat food and I'm switching her very slowly over to 8 and 1, hoping that
that might give her firmer and fewer doodies. Should I be worried or is it
normal for a baby?

Barb

PS: It's so good to have ferret company again. Nothing can replace Floyd,
she will always be my special little first girl, but Storm already took a
big chunk of my heart.
