This is to let everyone know about AFA's New Shelter Webpage. Please
take some time and check out the new page. If you are one of the few
listed and there is an error with your listing please use the link at
the top of the page to submit corrections.

AFA's old shelter page was very out of date and was a pain in the butt
to keep up to date. The new page should be much more user friendly,
every listing contains contains the same data, and it allows AFA to
keep the information up to date much easier.

Depending on the AFA Shelter Committee, additional information may be
needed in order to qualify your shelter to be listed. At this time the
form is complete. The link to the new page is

and the link to fill out any corrections on the form is

- you should see the clickable link to the form at the top of the
shelter page.

Some information on getting, being and staying listed on the AFA
Shelter page:

1. The page will be updated every 3 months.

2. AFA members are listed with a star by their shelter name. If your
membership expires then your will lose the star.

3. Non-members are also listed.

4. You will receive an email from me every January. The email is to
make sure your data is still current. If you fail to respond back in a
timely fashion your listing will be deleted (I will provide a date to
respond by). You will then be required to resubmit the form and you
will not be updated until the next update (April).

5. Sending emails to AFA will not get you listed or updated anymore.
Shelters MUST use the form. If you fail to provide all the required
fields, your shelter will not be listed.

We hope this will help keep our shelter list up to date with only
those qualified and legitimate shelters.
