Now I know what I am about to say may get me flamed, but why debate over
what Marshall Farms is doing? Sure, it's not completely animal friendly,
but neither is raising cattle for slaughter.

Marshall Farms is a BIG company (considering the market they cater to). If
they were producing third-rate pets or trying to forcible close out the
market period, then I would have a problem with them. But if you consider
the popularity of ferrets in the last few years (which has increased
dramatically), how on earth are all the little farmers going to supply
everyone with good, quality, well-breed pets? Marshall Farms produces
perfectly fine pets, and they can supply them in numbers to satisfy the
wants and needs of all customers.

Basically, if it weren't for Marshall Farms, ferrets might not be so popular
and might never get the respect they deserve.
