This whole thing has been a very sad sad event. I am sorry that both child
and ferret had to endure life with such an evil carekeeper. Obviously the
child-mother (she was 17) was very sick. I'm glad the children were taken
from her. Hopefully they are not so emotionally scarred that they cannot
lead normal lives.

As for the poor little starved neglected 'criminal' who has now crossed
over the rainbow bridge, I can only belive he has been called back for a
reason. Maybe his death was not in vain. Maybe he died so more people can
begin to understand child and animal neglect...and how important it is to
watch your children and never leave them unsupervised around your pets.

Possibly the little critter is better off now...far better off. If he was
as neglected and starved as they say, then maybe even 'rehabilitation'
could never remove the sadness in his soul. Maybe he gets another chance
now. Maybe with one of us. Who knows? All I know is that heaven has
plenty of the best food and toys, the best ppl to play with, and I hear
that the raisins never run out.

It is very sad to blame the animal for the stupidity of humans. I, too,
hope she never has a child or pet again. Unfortunately, she has a right
to both in this world.

Hugs
