I think your post was very well said.  I tend to be weary when people ask
for money, but the plea was for the ferrets.  To move them out of state.
Ferrets are in California whether people agree with it or not.  And like
every other state or country they will be abused, abandoned, or "set free".
It's a fact.  Time to move on and help the situation not fight it.

You posted that the confiscated 13 are "HIS PROBLEM" (Mark's).  Ok, fine.
If the FML isn't here to help, then what is it for?  You are not required
to respond or even agree.  If your only contribution is kicking someone
when they're down and grieving perhaps that's "YOUR PROBLEM".
 
I want to help fuzzies.  All of them - everywhere.  If I can help just one,
isn't it all worth it?
