Have you got the actual source (citagtion) so we can see this report?
 
Re: Research Ferrets.  I'm actually quite surprised that so few go to
research.  I doubt that all 8000 are subjected to vivisection at the whims
of the researchers.  What realisitic alternatives exist to using animals
for medical testing and research?
