Hi, ferret fans.

This is my first posting to the FML. I do not actually own a ferret at
the moment, and feel that I could not make the necessary commitments for
owning one at present, but they're great little guys and I love hearing
about their escapades.

Recently, here in Fife, Scotland, a 'Ferret Grand National' was held, and
the event got front page coverage in our local rag. I have copied the text
from the article directly into this posting, but I also have a full-colour
scan of the article if anyone would like it E-Mailled directly to them.

"Who's a clever ferret then ? Bookie 'Honest Phil' Allen gets
to grips with Carl Louis, winner of the first ever Fluffy Ferret
Grand National which got underway at the Scottish Centre for
        Falconry, near Kinross, last weekend.

"The race was organised by the centre, which is a registered
charity, to raise funds to equip their new bird hospital which
        is currently under construction.

"Competing alongside bookie's favourite Carl, the Red Rum of
rodents, were Weekly Thomson (2/1 on), Silly Gunnell (3/2) and
        Linford Crustie (evens)."
