I recently added 8-in-1 Ultimate to my ferrets diet. They have only had
Marshall Farms up until then. (They are around 2 years of age.)

I tried to put a bowl of each in their cage, but they were only eating from
the MF bowl. So then a friend sugggested mixing it together. Which I did.
Since then, they have been eating both.

SO WHAT MY PROBLEM?

Two of my three ferrets have started choking on their food regularly. Last
night, I had the bejeezus scared out of me when Koz's eyes started to bulge
as she hacked up the chunk caught in her throat. Turned out to be one of
the star-shaped pieces of 8-in-1 Ultimate food.

Any suggestions? As of right now... I think I'm just going to go back to
MFs. I'd rather they ate safely on basic food, than choking to death on
the good food.

[PS]
Sorry! I forgot to ask another question in my post above.

In relating to a ferret choking on their food to the point there eyes are
bulging, is there anything you can do to help them? Does anyone know of a
place I can find more info? Thanks for your help!
